FAQ
Can Anyone Provide Me With The Approximate Value Of 240 Acres Of Land Located Just South Of Tallahassee, Fl?
-I Understand That I Havent Provided Many Details -Assume It Is Not Located On Or Near The Water -I Am Just Looking For A Rough $$ Per Acre Value In The Area. Thanks!
Leon or Wakulla County? Depending on how much is developable (high and dry) and what the zoning is, it could be between $1.200 and $10,000 per acre. How can it be subdivided? Into one acre or less, then it could be up to $15,000 per acre. Does it have pines on it - can they be harvested or the pine straw sold? Is it agricultural? Makes a difference on the way it is taxed.
Go on line to the Property Appraiser's site and see what it is currently classified as and how much they have it appraised for.
Good luck.
What Can I Do With My Backyard? I Want To Do Something Different And Cool. Right Now I Hate It.?
There Is A Big Hill In The Back That Was Covered With Pine Straw When We Bought The House It Slopes Toward The House. All The Pine Straw Has Washed Down The Hill So Now It Is Bare With A Lot Of Gravel On Top. There Are Also Holes That Are Dogs Have Dug. Any Ideas On Doing Something Decent With My Backyard?
I think groundcovers would be pretty and would help to prevent erosion. Consider creeping phlox. That would be pretty in the spring. You could also use some mondo grass, ajuga, periwinkle, and juniper.
Please Help Me Identify This Tree...?
I Bought What Was Called A 'Euro' Or 'Uro' Pine Tree From A Christmas Plant Fundraiser Yet I Cannot Find Any Information On This Tree. In Fact, When I Search For Species Of Pine Trees, There Is Nothing Remotely Close To This. All I Can Say Is..It Looks Exactly Like A Christmas Tree Except It Is Only 8 Inches Tall With A Diameter Of About 4-5 Inches. I Am Completely Unable To Keep It Healthy Because I Cannot Find Information On It. The Only Thing That Pops Up With The Searches Are Price Lists For Uro Pine Trees But No Care Guide. Can Anyone Please Help?! I Am Desperate To Keep This Alive.
I found a web site that had offered them for sale over Christmas, the web site itself has been taken down, but it's listing says, #4.5 Cypress Euro Pine #6 Cypress Euro Pine

Which leads me to think that your mystery tree may be a cypress, not truly a pine. Does it have actual needles, or flat sort of branches?
Here's a web site about cypresses:
http://www.arborday.org/treeguide/TreeDe...
And here is a pic of one on Amazon, they are sold as mini Christmas trees:

Hope we have found it this time.
I Need Some Bunny Help?
Okay So I Was Thinking Of Getting A Baby Female Bunny For My 7 Month Old Boy Bunny. Is There Anything That Might Happen To The Baby Bunny? Can You Tell Me Everything About That Stuff? Please Post Links Or Give Me Thorough Information
Hi...I've been raising and showing rabbits for 10 years. Are you wanting to get the doe (female rabbit) for your buck (male rabbit) to breed to or as a companion? If you are wanting to breed them, then when you find a doe you need to wait to breed her until she is mature and ready to breed. The age depends on the breed and whether it is a 4 class or 6 class breed. Rabbits are broken down into first bucks and does and then age groups. Breeds that have Juniors (0-6 months) and Seniors (6 months and older) are 4 class breeds and can be bred at 6 months of age. Breeds that have Juniors, 6/8's (6 to 8 months of age), and Seniors are 6 class breeds and can be bred at 8 months old. And they must be caged separately, and then when you decide to breed them you always take the doe to the buck's cage as does are very territorial. Let them breed, which he will get on top of her and when he has finished he will grunt and fall over. Then remove her and take her back to her cage. A rabbit's gestation period (time they are pregnant) is 28-32 days, a couple days before she is due you will need to give her a nestbox. The kind I have found to be best can be found at Tractor Supply and are metal with a removable wood floor for cleaning. Put about a 2 inch layer of sawdust (pine, not cedar) across the bottom of the box along with a handful of straw (not hay, hay is what they eat and straw is bedding) in the box and a couple more handfuls outside the box just in her cage so she can carry more in to build her nest if she wants. Then she will most likely have the babies at night. If you are wanting to get a rabbit for your buck as a companion, I do not recommend it. Rabbits are not social animals and do not pine for other animals company. Even spayed and neutered rabbits (which spaying and neutering is a waste of money and an unnecessary risk and pain to the rabbits) or "bonded" rabbits that seem to get along perfectly will fight at one time or another. They also typically chew off pieces of eachother's ears and pull out their fur. Having them in cages where they can see eachother is fine, but anything beyond that is dangerous. Adequate attention from you really is the best option. I know it sounds mean, but rabbits really do best under these circumstances. Hope this helps and please feel free to contact me with any other questions you may have.
What Are The Best Backcountry Spots To Camp At The Red River Gorge?
I Forgot To Add This In My Question I Just Posted. But, What Are The Best Unofficial Trails To Hike On At The Red? Me And About 4 Or 5 Friends Are Going In May. We'Re Looking To Get Lost And Find Ourselves Back Out.
I live in Lexington, Kentucky and know a little about the Red River Gorge. I used to know a lot more but I haven't hiked there in many years. I've even forgotten the trail numbers.
Whittleton Branch connects between SR 15 where it comes out near the Tunnel Ridge Road. The other end comes out at Natural Bridge State Resort Park campground. It you walk up to the arch, which is an extra side trail and walk to the other side of the arch, there is an unmarked trail that is about a mile long or so. It terminates near a gravel road that connects to SR 15 closer to Pine Ridge. The trail does go along a cliffside, so I would be very careful walking there as pine needles on the trail can prove to be slippery.
There is also the Clifty Wilderness Area at the very back end of the Red River Gorge, but I think camping of any kind may be prohibited in this section due to it being a protected wilderness area..
There are a number of other trails, such as the Wildcat Trail and the Rough Trail. Some these go along the creek bottoms situated between Grays Arch and Koomer Ridge Campground. You might check out those trails too. I think access to this area is along Pinch'Em Tight Ridge trail, which is located less than half a mile from the Gray's Arch trailhead. Be careful. A guy was attacked by a black bear in that area a few summers ago. I camped there alone at the age of 13 around 41 years ago. Comply with the rules for primitive camping in the Daniel Boone National Forest.
